History
Born
in Italy, Saint Veronica started loving people the way Jesus would when she was
very young. Even when she was only three years old, she would give up her own
clothing if she saw a poor child in the street who needed what she had.
Veronica entered the religious life when she was only 17 years old. After 20
years of pursuing holiness, she started to see visions of heaven. Even so, she
seemed like just an ordinary nun, the way she worked for the poor and
instructed the new sisters.
Activity
Did
you know that there are children very close to where you live who don’t have
proper clothing? There are children who don’t have enough clothing or shoes or
clothing all over the world. Today, choose one of your own articles of clothing
to take to a homeless shelter or other ministry that helps poor people.
